[BUG] Serial printing gcode file fails to extrude beyond first layer perimeter

Open AccaliaDeElementia opened this issue 7 months ago • 1 comments

Printer model

MK4

Firmware version

6.0.4

Upgrades and modifications

None

Printing from...

USB Cable/Octoprint

Describe the bug

When printing via USB connection the printer completes the brim if selected and first layer perimeter, but when moving to the first layer solid infill unloads the filaament and does no further extrusions for at least the next five layers (at which point i canceled the print)

Loading the same gcode file (linked below) to a usb stick and printing directly from the printer resulted in a successful print.

Issue appears to happen no matter what gcode file i attempt to print via octoprint, restarting the printer does not lead to a change in behavior. First observed with firmware 6.0.3, remains in firmware 6.0.4

How to reproduce

Print a gcode file via usb cable/octoprint. Behavior should occur

Expected behavior

Printer should not retract filament after first layer perimeters with serial printing and should perform a successful print like it would with the same gcode file loaded to usb.

Files

Test print provided is https://www.printables.com/model/641942-low-poly-fox sliced with standard profile 0.2mm Speed using Prusament PLA for the default Prusa Mk4 profile with binary gcode support disabled

gcode prints successfully via USB drive, fails via octoprint/usb cable printing
