We have a broken link checker, but an image checker would be great for a11y and site clean-up/audit.

In doing some research, it sounds like Broken Link Check had/has this feature, so perhaps it's just modifying the settings on that. I looked around, and it doesn't appear that there are well-maintained plugins specifically related to this.
