Export to Vegas EDL Issue???
Hi @protyposis
Can you please help me with this issue?
I have two partitions on my PC: C:, where the programs are installed, and D:, where I store general files.
When using the "Export to Vegas EDL" option, I noticed that the EDL file correctly saves the full file paths only if it is saved on the C: drive. However, if the EDL file is saved on the D: drive, it does not record the full file paths, which causes issues during import.
In this example, I aligned the audio and video files located in D:\Testes\Audio Align Test The bold parts show how the EDL file saves the file paths:
This EDL was saved on Desktop location in C: partition (this is saved correctly)

Hi, this is actually by design. If the EDL is saved in a parent directory of the media files, the paths are stored relatively so that the project can be easily moved between drives and folders.
What software does this cause issues with?
Hi @protyposis I save the EDL file to sync my videos in Vegas Pro.
When I save it to the C: drive, where the system is installed, the file paths are saved correctly in the EDL file.
But when I save the EDL file to the D: drive, where my files are located, only part of the path is saved in the EDL file, and I have to manually set the location of at least one file from the original folder in order for the files to be imported.
See the video in this link, it shows what I'm talking about. https://huggingface.co/datasets/Joelson-Forte/Files/resolve/main/Screen%20Record.zip?download=true
Thanks!
