Certain projects started with an uploaded ontology will be empty on download

If I start a new WebProtege project by uploading the Person Name Vocabulary (PNV) (downloaded from the provided download URL), the ontology is presented correctly in WebProtege, and it can be edited. However, when I try to download any revision of this project, the pnv.owl file contained in the archive will be empty (0 bytes long).

This is very strange, and is likely related to something that is in this particular ontology (an axiom, some quirkiness), but I could not figure out what it is and how could it be fixed. I am afraid that until we don't figure out what causing this problem and how to fix it or work around it, we run the risk that other people may upload similar ontologies that they may work on for some time, just to realize that they can't export what they did, which would be a quite unpleasant surprise.

I have the same problem, but with the schema ontology. It can be edites, but when I try to download the edited ontology, the archive is empty.
