protege on windows extremely slow

Every time I click outside of protege, it takes nearly a full minute or more for it to allow me to click/interact in any way with protege after that. When I stay inside the program, it runs fine, but this happens every time I click outside of it. Any help would be appreciated!

I downloaded IDO locally and have been working on that, it is in its own directory on my device.

Seconding that, it's slow and consumes a lot of GPU

Yo, if this is still relevant to you, this is how I fixed this issue. I downloaded platform independent Protoge 5.6. And put it in the start of C directory. C:\Ontology\Protege-5.6.3\run.bat is how I open it. I have had no issues since. I also put all my ontologies in the ontology folder.

I think some issues are caused because I had a space in my user, C:\users\firstname lastname\Desktop\Protoge
