Add google chat receiver
Hi!
I noticed that in 0.22 the moratorium to add new receivers has been lifted. I'm the maintainer of https://github.com/mr-karan/calert which is a standalone binary that sends out notifications to Google Chat via the Alertmanager webhook integration. Is there any way I can help upstream the same to Alertmanager as a new google_chat receiver?

The biggest part tends to be the configuration - make sure you allocate some rationale for it in the PR. 😄 We'll be happy to review @mr-karan.
A bunch of the existing config will go away, since this exists as a standalone HTTP server. Which won't be the case when it's merged in Alertmanager. I'll start working on it, thanks a lot :+1:
is there any update on this feature? is it still planned on mergen calert into alertmanager?

Slipped through the cracks. Expect an update on this very soon, hopefully up coming week should have something.
Didn't notice im subscribed here. There's an open PR since October: https://github.com/prometheus/alertmanager/pull/3554, but nobody seems to be interested
@mr-karan thank you for driving the Google Chat integration! i was just made aware of this discussion - subscribing to this for updates. for context i work on Google Chat and once this receiver is available would like to sync up to discuss feedback you have on the Chat platform.
