Resume Activity when Switching Workspace

The hamster applet has a setting where you can resume the activity when you switch back to a workspace. This doesn't seem to be supported by the shell extension although it would work very nicely with the work flow encouraged by Gnome 3. I would be very happy if you could implement it.
