Viability of chrono for simulating interaction between adhesives and soft bodies

I recently discovered Chrono, which seems to aim to be a simulation engine for all sorts of things. It seems to support fluid simulation and "finite elements" (which look like deformable bodies).

I am looking into creating an application that simulates the interation between adhesives and soft bodies. So far, I have not found any physics engines suitable for that purpose. It looks like Chrono has the potential to be, but it does not seem to support adhesives or "soft bodies" in the traditional sense (only finite elements, which look like basically steel beams and such). However, I am not that familiar with Chrono, so I may be wrong.

How suitable is Chrono for this use case right now? Are adhesives and true soft bodies planned features?
