Add user facing instructions for CSV upload of multiple items url field
When uploading multiple items via CSV it appears that items with a blank url field are skipped, but if it is set to ~ you can effectively skip the field but still save and index the item. This is documented in the spec, but maybe not in any user facing way? It tripped @dnoneill and I up for a few minutes.
It might be worth adding a note or an example row in the downloadable CSV template?

This information could be added to the admin interface.
Work with the PO to develop the language for this
@taylor-steve @dnoneill You are correct, for Stanford this doesn't appear to be documented for users on the Adding and Managing Items page. For Stanford I will make sure it is added under the subheading Important Tips (for the heading: Adding items from outside the Stanford Digital Repository).
In addition of course, it would be very helpful to add this to Spotlight core alongside other user-facing instructions in the app so that exhibit creators can see it.
This ticket is now ready for dev. Thanks for reviewing the language and design @caaster and @alundgard!
For some reason the text in the screenshot here is not showing up for me. I just did a git pull maybe 15 minutes ago. @VanessaVenti were you able to see the text in the multiple items tab? Here is what I see when I go to the Upload multiple items tab
Welp, removed spotlight folder and reinstalled and the text appears now! Moving to done.
Looks good to me too!
