[Platform] Apple Home App showing message as "Accessory not supported by Home" for CSA Certified Air Conditioner Matter device

Reproduction steps

Hi Team, After pairing CSA certified Matter enabled Air Conditioner with Apple Home, we are getting the following message: "This accessory is not currently supported by the Home." (Attached Screenshot). And, We are not able to control the device through Apple Home.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE Below are the steps we follow to commission the device: 1- Set up HomePod in iPhone. 2- Commission Matter enabled device through QR Code. 3- Device commissioned successfully. 4- After commission when we try to get device details and try to control. There is no option for control device and message showing as: "This accessory is not currently supported by the Home."

Even with iOS & iPadOS 17.5 Beta it doesn't work. v1.2.0.0 Release was published in Oct 23, 2023. So 165 days have passed and nothing has happened.

In general, you should probably file a feedback assistant ticket following the instructions below, and put the ticket id in here so I can follow up.

  • Technical Information Please provide the following a) Sysdiagnose logs for iPhone / iPad with the timestamp / timeframe of the issue b) Sysdiagnose logs for all the Home Hubs (HomePod mini / HomePod / Apple TV) with the timestamp / timeframe of the issue c) Accessory logs with the timestamp / timeframe of the issue d) mDNS network logs with timestamp / timeframe of the issue e) Video or screenshot describing the issue (optional but beneficial) Please make sure you download and install the profiles for iOS and tvOS as provided here. @sudhanshgupta I just checked, and we definitely need that feedback ticket with the relevant sysdiagnose from the HomePod to diagnose this. If you can do that, it would be much appreciated.

@bzbarsky-apple @lboue Just to update the Matter device that we have tried is a Room Air Conditioner (RAC) device type.

Below are the certification details of the Matter Device, that we are trying to use with Apple Home: Certificate ID- CSA23K58MAT42559-24 https://csa-iot.org/csa_product/panasonic-room-air-conditioner-2/

@bzbarsky-apple: We trying to collect all required logs and after that will raise feedback and support tickets and will let you know in this forum. Meanwhile can you please let us know if this device type is supported by Apple Home?
