mushroom gen in the nether

I believe that natura completely overrides vanilla mushrooms spawning in the nether, I was wondering if this could be made a config option? I'm playing a pack i put together with natura and garden of glass and in order to get mushrooms you need to get them from the nether. I like natura terrain gen in the nether, so I would hate to disable it completely.
