how to run the repository code?

I see no infos in the README.txt or any other docu-file how to get this thing running? There is no binary or start-script in the current repository I cloned from github.

Please don't put me to the download page. I need to run the repository code to start contributing.

Could this repository be some kind of Eclipse project or another IDE? I tried to "open" it in Eclipse but this doesn't work. I see no project or workspace file I can use.
