categories vanishing...
I had used FreeQDA for a couple of days successfully when one day I opened my project and all my categories had vanished. Also, it only showed the last three texts which I had fed into the programme. When I tried to add a new category, the other texts came back, but still the categories are missing and the texts remain unsorted. I have no idea why this happened, as far as I can say I had worked as usual the day before.
I would like to see your projectfile. Is that possible in general? I am looking for a way for you to provide the file in private.
Well, I changed the project file already by now as I created the new categories. Do you think it would still be useful to take a look at it? If you find a safe and private way I can send it to you; as you may understand I'm a bit reluctant about sharing my interview data...

Hallo, ich habe ein ähnliches Problem. Nachdem ich ein neues Projekt angelegt habe, waren alle Texte Tags aus dem vorherigen gelöscht. Im Ordner Workspace sind die Textdateien noch Hinterlegt, aber ich komme nicht mehr dran. Beim Versuch das Ganze neu anzulegen wurden die Tags nur gezählt, so lange ein Text offen war. Wenn ein neuer geöffnet wurde, wurden alle Zahlen auf 0 gesetzt. Auch die Farben für die Tags wurden nach drücken des "Apply Tag" Buttons nicht sichtbar.
Ich freue mich, wenn ihr mir helfen könnt, es geht nämlich um meine Magisterarbeit.
