Ability to retrieve a user's total follower/following counts

It seems that followers/followings were recently redacted for all users, including the current authorized user.

As far as I can tell, this eliminates the ability to get total follower and following counts. I understand this was done "for privacy reasons", however this is public information (i.e. I can visit a Product Hunt profile without being signed in and see the counts).

Could they be added as user fields, along with the other public profile information like coverImage and isMaker?

This is a very strange decision. If it's about privacy I would also expect this information to be private on producthunt.com

Removes the last bit of transparency you had. TBH not a good look.

I've opened a number of issues already with fundamental problems with the current API and nothing has changed. And now I see this gets applied with makes things even worse.

Do you plan to shut down the API? At least let us know so we don't invest time building against a sinking ship.
