DSI Support for Raspberry Pi Touch Display 2

Open Eclipse00 opened this issue 7 months ago • 4 comments

I have tried many configurations in the cmdline.txt and in config.txt and I can't get the Raspberry Pi Touch Display 2 to post with PINN. Not sure if I'm missing anything, or there isn't support yet for it. Is this a known compatibility issue, if not is there a less then obvious resource or guide for making it work.

I don't have a Touch Display 2 so I haven't provided any support for it as yet. I'm not even sure if the original touch display works with the new KMS drivers on the Pi5 - I think it may need some modification. If you can get the touch display 2 working in plain Rapios, then applying the same configuration to PINN might work. You may have to remove/rename pinn_init to prevent that interfering with any of your configuration settings.

Apologies for not providing all relevant data upfront, I'm using an RPI4 and it does work in raspbian and Ubuntu without issue. I'll try as suggested and let you know if I get results. Thanks for taking the time to respond!

The one thing that might stop it working is if it needs any drivers that PINN does not include. PINN only includes a very minimal set to keep it small.

Have you ever gotten a fix done? I'm trying to use your system but am unable to
