I'm also getting this same error ....can't even load a single sound file.

I'm using the latest JRE and processing 3.3

Importing the sound library does not cause the error.

I'm having this issue on some of my computers. I teach CS at a high school with 30 computers, and about half of them are getting this error. They are all identical, at least in theory. I have tried to find solutions in other threads, but none are clear. The computers do have previous issues with the sound jacks, but it's not consistent - some computers with bad jacks don't work, and some computers with good jacks don't work.

For what its worth, I am also a comp sci teacher and the sound library fails on all the computers at school. But not on my teacher's computer. Frustrating. We use the minim library but it just seems like the supported sound library should work or at least have a better error.
