Inaccurate meta descriptions in search engine results

The search results from Bing appear to display more accurate meta description:

Steps to reproduce

1. Open a search engine (Google, Bing, etc.)
2. Search for "p5.js"
3. Observe the search results for p5js.org pages

I'd be interested in knowing, before or as you're working on this task, what the potential ways of addressing this could be (e.g. do we need more semantic markup of our navigation, do we need a sitemap xml, do we need to do something in the Google webmaster tools settings, etc.) Keep us updated in the comments here as you look into it!

Adding an update about this here: I've set up Google Search Console on both p5js.org and beta.p5js.org; so while that data is not available immediately, any one who wants to work on this issue is welcome to @ me here or get in touch on Discord, I would be happy to help investigate or test (or upload a sitemap)
