Binary distribution not available for MacOS

Open Kabanets opened this issue 3 years ago • 6 comments

The application can't start on macOS Ventura. We have a modal dialog with a text: “JetUML is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Bin", and two buttons "Move to Bin" & "Cancel".

Update

We have identified this to be an issue with creating unsigned appplications with the jpackage tool. MacOS now requires external applications to be signed with an Apple Developer ID.

Until this requirement can be properly funded and supported, the workaround is to run the application as a thin jar, which has been confirmed to work fine.

Had the same problem, tried it with the thin jar and it opened up.

Thanks for confirming. I'll try to find a volunteer to package the application for this OS.

That looks like you might have downloaded the wrong architecture for javafx? I'm using an M1 Air and I downloaded the latest aarch64 javafx build and it worked for me.

Another +1 for not working on M1/Ventura
