Notes from flawedworld on matrix:
Mention rapid response patching in iOS 16 and mention that you need to be using an A12 or later iPhone (i.e iPhone XR, XS, XS Max) if you have physical adversaries in your threat model bootrom exploit
And then also, you should mention the incremental improvements in privacy/security on newer iPhones There's a good detailed somewhat high level explanation in the platform security whitepaper here: https://help.apple.com/pdf/security/en_US/apple-platform-security-guide.pdf
A12 and newer devices also deploy PAC (Pointer Authentication Codes) so they are better resistant to control flow attacks PAC is a hardware security feature of arm64, iOS uses that but Android instead uses Control Flow Integrity from Clang/LLVM to do basically the same thing.
also typically the latest iPhones, much like with Pixels, have the best privacy/security features
Maybe you should mention that with airplane mode you won't recieve sms or normal Calls
Still missing:
- DNS profiles such as adguard's: https://adguard.com/en/blog/encrypted-dns-ios-14.html
- Lockdown mode
