Sidebar: Interacting with dropdown inside non modal sidebar closes the sidebar

Describe the bug

I have a dropdown within a sidebar configured to be non modal. Clicking on the dropdown toggler, the filter input area or selecting an item from the list causes the sidebar to close.

Steps to reproduce the behavior

1. Click the "show sidebar" button. 2a) Click the dropdown toggle button to expand the dropdown. 2b) Click the foo text in the dropdown then click in the filter input area. 2c) Click the foo text in the dropdown then click bar to select that value. The sidebar closes.

Expected behavior

The sidebar should not close.
