OSX 10.11.3 El Capitan not working

App crashes on start up. Getting an error:
Pencil is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the Trash.

No problems here with launching, creating and saving a simple Pencil document. Steps in attempt to reproduce:

• download 2.0.17 and 2.0.18 from GitHub and install on MacBook Pro running 10.11
• successfully launch 'build fix' Pencil version 2.0.18 while 2.0.17 did indeed have limited functionality
• run Apple Combo 10.11.3 Updater
• successfully re-launch, create and save another simple Pencil document

Try: Install 2.0.17 Open the app Remove it by putting it in the trash Install 2.0.18 Result: Getting the above error.
