Using handles/mouse for rotation of an object.

Is there a way to rotate an object using handles and mouse?

My apologies if this question has been asked before, but I searched and couldn't find an answer.

If you click on an object after selecting it, the resize handles should change to red rotation handles, which you can then drag.
