This explorer has a few currencies supported, but has no json API. Maybe someone could implement this using BeautifulSoup.

How is this extra helpful ? Care to elucidate ? I might consider getting behind this if I understand what for.

It would be nice to have this to calculate coins/hour. It's difficult to scrape a web page then compare values. Takes a little bit of guesswork. For instance, comparing coins/hour yield on one mining pool versus another, or adding more cards should cause a coins/hour increase. That's just one example. I'm sure there are others.
