Add git support

It would be good to see the git status of a file within the file explorer.

Was this implemented or scrapped? Its not mentioned in the docs

Hey @Strosel, this was never fully implemented. I’ll reopen the issue as it is something that would be useful to a lot of folks. I’m currently working in my spare time on supporting more list styles, once this is done I’ll give this a try. I also accept contributions if ever you want to give it a shot!

I started experimenting with synchronous support in the git-poc branch, but the performance was not really good. It would be interesting to experiment with an async approach.
