Prey configurator freezes at login step on Debian 11

The config gui freezes on Debian stable, at the login step.

Steps to reproduce

1. Install prey 1.10.7 from 64 bits deb file in debian 11 (current stable version)
2. run prey config gui
3. select Existing user option and click on Forward
4. Entering username and password, and click on Apply

Expected result

Next step of the config process is displayed

Observed result

• the Apply button's text is changed to Saving...
• The operation never completes
• No error message gets displayed in the terminal
