Rename does not save upon widget creation

Open christopherlam888 opened this issue 3 years ago • 1 comments

Describe the bug

Upon widget creation, any naming of the widget using the rename function does not result in the given name being saved.

To reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behaviour:

  • Create a new widget from the homepage
  • Use the rename function to give a new name
  • Save the widget by pressing DONE
  • Open the app
  • The new widget appears with the default name and not the new name given

Workaround:

Once the widget is created, the widget settings can be re-edited to rename properly.

Expected behaviour

The expectation is that the widget should appear in the app with the given name as opposed to the default name "WIDGET #".

Smartphone:

Device: Pixel 6
OS: Graphene OS (Android 12)
App Version 3.9.793

Furthermore and maybe related to this - when you change the name of a widget it is not updated in the spinner selected item, confusingly it is updated in the spinners list but not in the selected item.
