SDK initialization and privacy

Hi team,

I have a privacy question regarding the initialisation of the prebid mobile SDK. Would initialising the SDK before asking for user consent and calling the CMP be considered a privacy breach/issue ? Can you share your own POV here ?

Hi @GhadaSalah ! Sorry for the delay.

SDK reads the consent for each request. Not on the initialization step.

If the app runs the bid request before getting the consent, the request won't contain it.

The publisher is responsible for getting consent before requesting the ad.
