added option to reinstate the mutex lock when calling the tick hook
Dead Island renders a black screen on the HMD (Quest 3 / VDXR) since changing 'call' to 'original' (i.e. bypassing the mutex lock) on the tick_hook call. No idea why, this (draft) PR allows this locking version of the call to be used instead
