[BUG] Global Illumination Flicker & One-Eye Issues with Native Fix

Open oneup03 opened this issue 7 months ago • 1 comments

Describe the bug

In recent games, Global Illumination (especially with Lumen) has flickering and/or different lighting in each eye Recent examples: Clair Obscur Expedition 33, Oblivion Remastered, Hellblade 2, Robocop

Identify the UEVR version

bb4f26153e85a8f7d519d83e562f201d10db172a

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Expedition 33 is really easy to reproduce and is free on GamePass
  2. Without a UEVR profile that disables Lumen, inject with native fix
  3. Use in-game Global Illumination setting above low
  4. Play until you gain control of Sophie ~5min if you skip cutscenes
  5. Observe shadows dancing in the flowers under the tree (setting GI to low will "fix" them)
  6. Talk to the flower vendor and see the one-eye lighting and shadows issues

Expected behavior Lighting and shadows match between eyes without disabling Lumen or lowering global illumination

Screenshots Example screenshot - notice how shadows are wrong and the lighting is different on the characters faces between left and right images. Image Here's an example in Oblivion at Weynon House - notice the different lighting from the fireplace between left and right images. Image

This also occurs in Ninja Gaiden 2 Black when Global Illumination is set above 'Light' even with Lumen disabled:

I believe this same issue is present in RoboCop: Rogue City.
