[BUG] FF7Rebirth VR Output Freezes after some time
Describe the bug
This happens in all the recent nightly versions 01040-01043
After a few hours of running FF7Rebirth in SteamVR using OpenXR mode, the VR output will freeze and require a restart of SteamVR and the game to work again. The 2D game window does not freeze.
The log starts spamming this error when it freezes: [2025-04-05 11:28:04.255] [UnrealVR] [error] [VR] xrLocateSpace for view space failed: XR_ERROR_TIME_INVALID [2025-04-05 11:28:04.255] [UnrealVR] [info] [VR] Time: 59256887808027
Reinitialize Runtime doesn't fix it

Here is the UEVR ff7rebirth_ folder with log: ff7rebirth_.zip
Here is the only SteamVR log that seemed relevant: xrclient_ff7rebirth_.previous.txt

PC Specs (please complete the following information):
- OS Windows 11
- GPU RTX 4080S
- CPU AMD 9800X3D
- OpenXR
- SteamVR VRto3D
I have the same issue. But it takes only around 30 minutes (see log file)
- Game: Hogwarts Legacy
- UEVR stable (or nightly revision "e0b57d23cf612cb2e2370b7700f18264b1dbdfd7")
- VRto3D as a virtual HMD (probably not important)
- Log: log.txt
There may be some problem with UEVR + SteamVR Legacy Reprojection? I recently updated VRto3D (v3.1) to force legacy reprojection, as it is much better for 3D users. Async Reprojection doesn't let you run at in-between framerates, forcing lower framerates and sometimes making the game run in slow motion. If it's possible to look into fixing UEVR to not freeze/crash with legacy reprojection, that would be great!
