Submit for whitelisting in MS Defender @ MS

It would be great, to have it whitelisted in Defender, so no more virus warnings and deletion.

Here is the Form (Screenshot below): https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/filesubmission?persona=SoftwareDeveloper

Submit files for analysis (Documentation): https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/security/defender/submission-guide?view=o365-worldwide

having been through this process for a different open source tool that kept getting flagged, it's only ever temporary. Each new build will need to be resubmitted, often a previously submitted build that's been confirmed clean will be flagged again some time later.

Microsoft's support response to these problems was (after a couple of months of promising to look into it) to advise me to buy a certificate and sign the app (which would have required an annual renewal).

Things may be better now but I'd be surprised if it's as simple as just submitting via this form
