Problems with controls HTC vive
First of all I congratulate you for the work you have done, I have a problem using it with htc VIVE, the buttons assigned as (a, b) do not work with the controls I have managed to shot when pressing grip and trigger, however the buttons of action and selection I have not been able to find them, I thank you very much if you inform me how to configure them, I will be attentive to your answers!
Also having the same problem. Tried rebinding the controls in the system menu but it has funky results. I wonder if there's a configuration file that could be edited? I'm going to try openVr input emulator tonight and see how that goes. Fingers crossed 🤞
very good information! I will still be aware of what your results are, I tried modifying the configuration file, but ultimately there is nothing that affects the assignments
Tried going down the OpenVRIE route but there are a lot of hoops to jump through and I couldn't get it working to test out the idea, unfortunately. Here's hoping Praydog can get round to having a look at Vive compatibility
it works!!! openvr allowed me to map the buttons and it works perfectly, praydog definitely did an excellent job!
assign a and b to the menu buttons deactivate mirror mode and so I could configure one by one sometimes the button b does not work but with esc on the keyboard it is solved
Nice one Wylen! Could you give me a quick run down on how you got Open VR to work?
first install OPENVR without opening steam, once done start steam, then steamVR, after this with Steam open (this is important or does not work) I open the game normally, once loaded I open the settings, then command settings, manage settings , and here it allows me to choose whether by default or custom, I click on custom, and disable "mirror mode", so I can select an option for each button, although I really only assigned the right menu button the A button so the left one remains as B, and voila! There is a bug, the B button does not always work to exit a menu I am seeing what to do at the moment, but with this change it is playable.
Thanks Wylen, but I'm a bit confused. Are you talking and OpenVR Inputer emulator (OVRIE)? OpenVR is the backbone that allows multiple HMDs to work with SteamVR. Things like OVRIE and OpenVR advanced settings are things we can install that use OpenVR. Is it one of those?
i use this https://github.com/matzman666/OpenVR-InputEmulator/releases/download/v1.3/OpenVR-InputEmulator-v1.3.exe
and configure it from the game in manage controllers
