Is there some sessions module?

I added KiwiIRC to one of browser games. But game reloads page on some changes. And Kiwi starts reconnecting. Sometimes OK, sometimes some connection errors. Maybe I can enable some session feature? So user will reconnect to already created session, which stored on the server. I see some persistent branch but how it working?
