External playlists should be imported in the app from 3 dot menu. See if that helps.

We use JAudioTagger library to edit tags so that might be the issue of the library. I'll see if I can do something about that.

Can you send the playlist file here?

Is the playlist file stored in playlists folder now?

Try pasting in playlists folder and check.

Create a new folder in your Internal Storage with "Playlists" name, if it's not there.

Check if you have enabled Album artists from the three dots menu.

Album Artists should be disabled if you want to see every artists, the app should show every artist, there maybe problem with the tags but if the song is visible...

After some searching, I have found out that It requires SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW (Display over other apps) permission to work on Android 10 and above. I'll fix that in the next update.

It's difficult to add sort options to Artists (I've tried, it doesn't give expected results) because, songs are first grouped into albums and then the albums are then grouped accordingly...
