When frozen, will prevent keyboard input

Today I clicked the AMM menu icon and it beachballed on me.

Side effect of this was that my Mac would no longer accept keyboard input, while mouse clicks were accepted.

Going into the Activity Monitor and hitting Force Quit on AMM, made keyboard input work again.

Hmm. That's weird. I've been using this for over a year now, never faced that issue. I'm on mac OS 10.15.

Also AMM should not have any effect on keyboard input at all. It's only concerned with mouse movements.

A console log would be really helpful if you face this issue again.

Same thing happened to me today. I was testing out whether AMM was working as intended after installing it today. I have set my Screen to turn off after 2 Mins of inactivity. So I performed two cases to check whether AMM is working or not.

Case 1 - Turned AMM On and was idle. After 2 mins, the screen did not turn off. Case 2 - Turned AMM Off and was idle. After 2 mins, the screen did turn off. I had to use my fingerprint sensor to unlock my Macbook and resume my work.

So after Case 2, I was unable to use my keyboard. I tried to increase my screen brightness by pressing F1 but I was not able to do that. Turning AMM Off fixed it and my keyboard input was being recognised, then turning AMM On once again did not interfere with keyboard input (i.e. it was working as intended).

Thanks for the kind words @hsiraaH! And also for the great information... It's so hard to debug such random errors, that's why I haven't been able to look into it. I can't imagine why AMM would interfere with the keyboard.

PRs for such fixes are always welcome if you have any idea what is causing it :)
