Was this solved for you @Sveen , wouldn’t “default” color scheme in nvim just adapt to kitty’s natural background. Or also have it transparent.

I let ChatGPT wrote me a python script , which can Switch Neovim's theme in real time according to the output of HyDE switching theme command.

Hope this helps.

I use lazyvim so the colorscheme's config files may differ.
