How to define combo mods?

I'd holding two home row letters to translate to holding a modifier, i.e.:

F+D = Ctrl
F+S = Cmd
F+A = Alt
F+D+S = Ctrl+Cmd

The idea is taken from this post which also describes how to do it using QMK firmware.
