i ~wonder if~ believe this is the auto-updater. how often does it happen?

shinmorisawa avatar Oct 18 '24 11:10 shinmorisawa

I believe this is caused by Velopack (our installer/updater). Please post the %LOCALAPPDATA%\osulazer\Velopack.log file.

i ~wonder if~ believe this is the auto-updater. how often does it happen? I spotted it two times in 2 days. Out of ~10 launches.

cannot actually reproduce it now and I don't have this file. I'll come back and post if that file shows up.

@caesay not a huge deal but just a poke here in case you have any idea about this.

Thanks for the heads up. I think only open and visible (not hidden by window flags/state) window handles can appear in the Alt-Tab list. https://devblogs.microsoft.com/oldnewthing/20071008-00/?p=24863

The Velopack C# library does not have code capable of creating any window handles, the only windows shown in Velopack are the dialogs for progress/errors when Update.exe is running. However, if that was the cause here, the window title should read Update rather than osu!. I don't believe this is related to Velopack but please do keep me posted.

Do not click the posted link by @sgmustafi, it is malicious/virus.
