The right padding is wider than the left.

This is intentional; different numbers have different widths

The width of the number container is fixed, maybe making it centered is a good choice. examples: image image

Centered looks far worse IMHO.

Can we use a monospace font for badges? Or make the font monospaced like this. image

No idea. The original doesn't even offend me (how we have it at the moment). Would rather wait for more feedback. I don't think this is a common enough concern to address as a priority.
