input isn't detected when audio input device is replugged

there's an issue in stable client where if your audio input disconnects for even a split second and then reconnects, the game will lose all audio and won't register your inputs. Only way I've found to fix it is by going to devices and changing your output device to something else, then changing it back to normal, or restarting the game
