IO demo by Logon System runs with issues

The IO demo by Logon System runs, but it has some issues:

  1. It complains that the 5th sprite flag emulation "looks bad"
  2. Several parts of the demo have glitches, and the last part effect is totally broken

Yes... I don't really know why. IO even has a special mode for BlueMSX/OpenMSX. I wonder why...

WebMSX is line-accurate. Maybe IO does something that requires pixel-accuracy.

You're right, the IO demo requires pixel accuracy.

Now, for the reason why the demo complains about the 5S flag emulation, maybe you could ask in that pouet.net thread? The developers are known to answer there.
