Firmware with sensor bus for X6B

Open JaapBraam opened this issue 6 years ago • 5 comments

I would like to be able to use the sensor bus for the X6B receiver.

Is there firmware available that makes it possible to use the sensor bus on the X6B receiver? or Is it possible to flash the IA6B firmware on a X6B receiver in order to use the sensor bus?

+1 for this, would be nice to know. Are there any schematics around? If so, I could check by myself, but I didn't manage to find them...

Since those are proprietary design products, there is probably no way to get the schematics... Have you tried flashing the X6B with IA6B? As far as I can tell they are code compatible, so no problems should occur - if it does not work just flash it back. Let us know your results...

I didn't try it yet, I didn't know they are pin compatible, I will try tommorow and report back the results. I have some experience with the STMs so flashing shouldn't make any bigger problems

I think there was some minor problem cross-flashing. Not sure if it is voltage monitoring. But you should always be able to recover and reflash with right firmware again.

Okay I successfully flashed the IA6B firmware on it, ibus seems to be okay according to my oscilloscope and the quads FC. But I get the same data on the rx pin too - is this fine or do i have to build the nasty diode-resistor-thingy to be able to use bidirectional ibus?
