I'd be curious to know what you're using. Last I checked, a code sign cert cost at least $250/yr.

@krcourville it doesn't have to be that expensive. I shopped around and ended up using Sectigo. So far, my experience with them has been quite positive.

Cool. $100/yr is a little more reasonable. I have an app out there that would be about $20 profit/yr at that rate. Wish a “starter” rate was offered.

if publishing to the Microsoft Store, you don’t need a cert. But, all of my support requests with MS Store have been, “I purchased your app and I can’t install it”, usually due to folks with more than 10 Windows PCs in their lifetime.
