I don't think this would work, IIRC fastboot complains if the appended dtbs at the end of the boot.imgs are missing in QCDT. but it would be nice if someone could try it out!

ollieparanoid: might be possible to just place a header there To make it look like a dt image Though it depends how sane bootloaders are Like if they read dt to init display or something (like Sony) But that isn't that bad as most Sony kernels disable the feature for the bootloader and init it themselves
