Feature: Option to be able to compress (gzip) request body
App Details:
Postman for Windows
Version 5.5.0
win32 10.0.14393 / x64
Issue Report:
Problem: I am wanting to send gziped (and Deflate etc) requests to a server (with and without Content-Encoding headers)
It would be nice if Postman has something like an option to:
"Compress request with <drop down of options>
With a check box
"Add Content-Encoding headers"
(so you can test what happens, when the headers are omitted).
I have tried pre compressing my data into a file and setting the body to the compressed file; which works fine in normal postman mode. However this does not work in the Postman Runner mode. Copying and pasting the data ( from notepad++) into the Body-> Raw window does not work (some sort of lost encoding of binary char I am guessing)
@darcythomas thanks for suggesting this feature, we'll look into this.
