R: Console doesn't scroll down when input across lines

In Positron, if I directly type multiline commands in the console, it doesn't scroll down to the input line automatically, but only scrolls down when I type on the new line. Notice the scrollbar on the right:

To me, this looks the same as #2755.

In general we still have a fair number of problems with the scroll lock; here are all the issues about scrolling in the console in case we can address some of them together.
