R: Console doesn't scroll down to input line when focused

When I use the RStudio keymap shortcut ctrl+2 to focus the console, it does not scroll down to the input line. I was often confused if the console was focused or if I had not pressed the keys down properly. It does scroll to the bottom once I start typing.
