App offers update to standard (non-portable) version

Behaviour

Steps to reproduce this issue

  1. Install and use nextcloud-portable
  2. Wait (if necessary) for a newer version of the official client to be released by nextcloud.

Expected behaviour

  • Ideal behaviour: I'm prompted when a new version of nextcloud-portable has been released
  • Acceptable behaviour: No updates are offered.

Actual behaviour

  • The newer version of the standard (non-portable) client will be downloaded and it will attempt to install it - to the point of thowing up the UAC prompt without warning.

Configuration

App release / arch (ex. 1.0.0-2 win64) : 3.11.0-20-win64 Operating system (ex. Windows 10 Pro 64 bits) : Windows 11 Pro Winver screenshot : image

Had this happen this morning as well. The regular .msi installer was automagically downloaded to: %APPDATA%\Nextcloud

On the other hand, once I cancel the installation of the update, I am asked what to do in the future, and I picked "manual update" so hopefully it won't happen again.
