CW mode in Microphone: provisions for Tx and Rx

I think it would be nice to have CW as a mode in Microphone and make provisions to use a physical morse key at the audio plug for Tx, and provisions for CW listening.

Would it be useful to be able to manually key using a button on the PortaPack, or is support for an external morse key (connected through the microphone input) absolutely required? ..--..

I was also thinking that manual keying might fit better in the Morse app versus the Mic app. But, probably the Morse app would also need Receive capability to hear a response...
