Sorry - I thought you were proposing / exploring a way to allow setting input types when the db returned unknown in ParameterDescription.
Not straight forward, but I think it would be a great idea to expose that. I'll look into it!
I don't want to encourage not handling errors in the docs, so no shoot and forget samples using execute() like that please 😊
I'll add some similar descriptions to the documentation, but without encouraging not handling eerrors.
Hmm... There shouldn't be any issue.. I just added [tests specifically for that](https://github.com/porsager/postgres/commit/eeecc06bc15ea734943be93ca4d9aa65bd9691c8) and didn't experience any issues. Could you maybe make a reproducible example?

Good point - would also be great to see a run on a clean(linux) box. Who knows what my mac could be doing while this is running 😝
I would have loved to come around to this, but I'm gonna close the issue to focus on other things so I might one day have time for this.
